History
A quality that has been achieved through an active effort of an entire century.
1900 – 1922
Pavlos Karras was the first master craftsman of his time in Constantinople. He had a foundry and made small brass religious objects as well as candelabra for Mount Athos.
1922 – 1950
The transfer to Thessaloniki took place in a much smaller area compared to the foundry in the Vardaris area, with Mr. Anastasios Michailidis, the grandfather who was then 17 years old, becoming a partner. The production of brass chandeliers, bells, and various metal utensils continued, leading to their placement in prominent churches in Thessaloniki and Mount Athos.
1950 – 1980
After the death of the founder P. Karras, the reins and responsibilities of the business fell into the hands of Anastasios Michailidis.
With great dedication, seriousness, and steadfast work that marked the following years of the business, Anastasios Michailidis continued to adorn churches not only in the Thessaloniki region but throughout Greece.
1980 – 2006
The son of Anastasios Michailidis, Dimitrios Michailidis, takes over the business by relocating its facilities outside the expanding city of Thessaloniki.
The business experiences unprecedented growth, establishing a strong reputation in Greece and abroad, with at least 500 exports worldwide to date.
The last 25 years have marked the company ANASTASIOS MICHAILIDIS & CO GP with growth, agreements, expansion of its facilities, and strategic partnerships.
2006 – present
The son of Dimitrios Michailidis, Anastasios, takes the reins with the support, knowledge, and vast experience of the elders, and continues the tradition.
